Complaints Against Google

The Microsoft Corp. is prepared to make the battle against Google Inc. legal. They have filed a complaint related to the ongoing anti-competition investigation by the European Commission. The commission has been investigating Google’s control of the online search engine market.
Microsoft Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Brad Smith has confirmed that they will support the numerous companies fighting against the control of Google over the online search market.
The Google Inc. controls around 95% of online search market in Europe. In the United States of America, 25% of the online search market is controlled by the Microsoft Corp.
It is believed that Google blocks other online search website. Other companies feel that this is not a fair procedure to do business. They also block access to content from book publishers and restrict them from advertising and accessing the data uploaded on their servers.
Google has signed contracts due to which the European websites cannot distribute or utilize the rival search boxes.
The European antitrust regulators have assured that they will make sure that fair business policies are introduced. They are collecting the complaints against Google. Once the file is completed they will send it for verification. The required investigation will be done and Google will have to reply to the complaints against them.

The Daily Shuffle: Katie Holmes Explains Suri's Penis Gummies

  • Katie Holmes will appear on Ellen today, and she's going to clear up the whole "Suri Cruise LOVES chewing on penises!" controversy. Apparently, Holmes took Suri to an ice cream shop and while they were waiting to be seated, Suri grabbed some penis gummies. And even though it was reported that Holmes gave them to Suri to chew on, that's not true -- Suri took them herself. Why didn't she just tell her to put them back, you ask? Holmes explained, "because I thought if I said 'Put that back,' and then she's going to say, 'What is this?' And I really didn't want to have that conversation." OHHHH excellent! More shame over anatomy!! - US

  • Prince William will not be wearing a wedding band once he marries Kate Middleton. A spokeswoman for the palace told People that, "there is only going to be one ring, in accordance with the couple's wishes. Kate's band will be constructed from a tiny amount of gold from the Welsh mountains that belonged to Queen Elizabeth. - People

  • A dwarf couple in New Jersey is suing Joel McHale, Comcast, and E! for defamation and emotional distress. The sketch aired on E!'s The Soup in 2009, and the show used a photo of the couple and added babies covered in tattoos and wearing pageant sashes into the picture and used it to describe a fictitious reality show called, "Fertile Little Tattooed Pageant Parents Who Enjoy Baking."

Geoffrey Rush To Voice Tomar-Re In 'Green Lantern'

Having been to the set of Warner Bros. summer tent pole Green Lantern, I was aware of how producer Donald De Line and director Martin Campbell were aiming for the highest-caliber voice talent to bring linguistic life to a slew of the films CG-rendered characters, but I wouldn't have guessed that Geoffrey Rush would eventually sign up to lend his theatrical talents to the fan favorite Lantern Tomar-Re. Nevertheless, that's what The Hollywood Reporter is claiming today as the film nears completion and its June 17th release date.

It'll make for a busy summer for the Oscar-winning actor and producer (who just took home a statue for shepherding The King's Speech), who reprises his beloved role as Captain Barbossa in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides a month before Green Lantern hits theaters. Though it seems a tad late in the game to be doing casting of any kind on a big-budget film like this, the source notes that bringing on vocal talent at the eleventh hour is commonplace in huge Hollywood productions like this $150 million superhero spectacle.

For those not geeky enough to know about the DC Comics mythology, Tomar-Re was an extraterrestrial scientist before becoming a member of the intergalactic police force known as the Green Lantern Corps. After joining, one of his major responsibilities on the Corps' home planet Oa was to train new recruits, a job he'll perform in the film on Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan. With awkward avian features and a cool attitude, he's been one of the most well received secondary characters in Green Lantern's long history, so it's not only a joy to have him included in the film but a major coup to have an actor as great as Rush portraying him.
