Short Bio

Anna Paquin attended the Raphael House Rudolf Steiner School, until she was eight years old. Then she started to take classes in Viola, cello and Piano. She was also enthusiastic in Gymnastics, ballet, swimming and downhill skiing and was also interested in acting field. Anna attended the Hutt Intermediate School and Wellington’s girl’s college, after which she completed her high school diploma at windward school in Los Angeles. In 1991, Paquin was signed as an actress in “The piano” and the advertisements in print and electronic media made her a star at once.

In the year 1993, “The Piano” hit the screens and was lauded with the critics and won prizes at the numerous film festivals. Anna recovered her first academy award in best supporting actress category and this was achieved by Anna at the age of eleven.

After few TV shows and movies, Anna was recognized for her movie role as Mutant super heroine Rogue in 2000 release ‘X-Men’. Then she was also featured in its sequel which was X2 in 2003.

Anna Paquin was also a theatre artist as she stepped into 2001 ‘The glory of Living’ at the MCC theatre. She won Theatre world award and was seen on the west end stage on London for ‘This is our youth’ in the year 2002
